This four-day course (2 x 2 days) focuses on the fundamentals of didactic action in university teaching. Participants acquire didactic and methodological knowledge about the interplay between teaching and learning. They deal with the questions of what conditions teaching/learning processes are subject to and how these can be organised in accordance with the requirements of participant- and action-oriented teaching. Interaction with and motivation of students are therefore central points of reference for the course. In addition, participants are encouraged to reflect on their own teaching and learning experiences. They reflect on their role as lecturers at a university and learn how they affect others in their teaching. With the help of experience-oriented methods (e.g. teaching simulations), previous actions in teaching situations are analysed. The course also offers the opportunity to develop and try out new ways of acting. The aim of the event is to support participants in analysing their own teaching experiences on the basis of theoretical concepts and to develop new ways of shaping and acting. In addition to keynote speeches, this is done methodically by trying out and analysing activating forms of learning as well as through reflection and feedback from colleagues. The ‘Fit for Teaching’ event takes place as part of Module I.
